Half term fun keeps the kids entertained

READING ROOM: Ava Dickinson and Bethany and Nathan Pallister enjoyed the comfortable reading nook at The Bowes Museum TM pic

THERE was plenty for youngsters to do in Barnard Castle during the half term break with events and activities put on by The Bowes Museum and The Hub.

Things were particularly spooky at The Hub where children encountered spiders, bats, witches, Frankenstein’s monster and a vampire along the outdoor Hallowe’en trail.

More energetic types enjoyed the indoor bouncy castle, while the creative ones dipped into their monster activity bags to enjoy cutting and pasting, and colouring in.

Along at The Bowes Museum activities centred around the Pirates, Pants and Wellyphants, and Lego exhibitions.
