Galgate News shut due to positive Covid-19 test

CLOSED: Galgate News

GALGATE News has been closed for the foreseeable future after a member of staff tested positive for Covid-19.

With staff and customer safety of paramount concern, the decision was taken to close the business as a precautionary measure this morning.

Unfortunately, this means all newspaper deliveries will be temporarily suspended.

The Mercury will be published as usual and will be available for normal outlets. For those unable to get to the shops, a digital version is available – see www.teesdalemercury.co.uk/subscribe for details.

The Teesdale Mercury Shop, in Market Place, Barnard Castle, is unaffected and is open for business as usual, daily from 8.30am to noon.
