PEOPLE in Evenwood culminated two weeks of jubilee activities with a free party at Randolph Community Centre on Saturday.
Almost 200 people enjoyed the entertainment which included a string of 1950s hits by Robson Field, creative arts and crafts and traditional games like hook-a-duck.
Brian Carter, of Evenwood and District History Society, said: “Absolutely everything was free today due to generous donations and grants, including substantial donations from CA Roofing Ltd, the Randolph Community Centre and a jubilee grant from Durham County Council.”
More than ten community groups were involved in organising the many activities over the two-week celebration.
