Forum highlights community work in Middletin-in-Teesdale

SPREADING THE WORD: Fal Sarker

DOZENS of residents turned out in Middleton-in-Teesdale to find out more about their community.

A forum event was organised by Middleton-in-Teesdale and Newbiggin Parish Council.

The village hall was packed with representatives from various community organisations including the Upper Teesdale Botany Group, Utass and Middleton in Bloom. Members were on hand to talk about their work and their plans for the coming months.

Parish clerk Judith Mashiter said: “Hopefully everyone will go away with a bit more knowledge about what is going on in the community. Some organisations have been signing up new members which is good. It is really encouraging that there is so much energy and enthusiasm for people to share what they do and draw other people into their organisation.”
