THE sun shone on first-time village fete organisers.
Anthony and Sue Page, of Windmill, were thrilled at the number of visitors to their first ever fete in aid of Parkinson’s UK.
There was a brisk sale of cakes, plants and raffle tickets. Guests enjoyed a little Bluegrass music courtesy of Ian Sharp and Sid Preston. More than one one or two people were successful at the coconut shy.
“It was a great day,” said Mr Page. “And we managed to raise just short of £4,000 so we’re all delighted.”
