Dog walk leads to £936 being raised

WALKIES: Raby Castle hosted its annual new year charity dog walk in the grounds

HUNDREDS of people celebrated the new year by taking part in a fundraising walk with their four legged friends.
Officials at Raby Castle opened the historic venue’s gardens for dog walkers on Sunday, January 1.
Raby Estates events manager Sophie Brown said the annual event had proved popular once again.
“We were thrilled to see 1,500 visitors and many of their four-legged friends join us in the Deer Park.
“This year our 2023 chosen charity is Hearing Dogs for Deaf People which we will be supporting throughout the year.”
She added: “We would like to thank all those who attended and donated to this extremely worthy charity and we’re delighted to announce that so far we have raised £936, which is fantastic.”
