Dog rescued unharmed from River Tees near the Demesnes, in Barnard Castle

FIRE crews have rescued a canine from the River Tees this morning. 

The dog got stuck in the river off the Lower Demesnes, in Barnard Castle, at about 9.45am today (March 29). 

A water rescue team from Bishop Auckland, one fire appliance from Middleton-In-Teesdale and another from Barnard Castle responded shortly after 10am. 

The pet was found stood in the river and was recovered unharmed at about 10.15am.
