Dino-mite teaching brings smiles to dale pupils

ROARSOME: T Rex teacher Tracey Tallentire with reception pupils all got into the spirit of World Book Day

STAFF and pupils – both in class and at home – at St Mary’s RC Primary School, in Barnard Castle, fully embraced the spirit of World Book Day last week, dressing up as their favourite literary characters.
One teacher raised the bar, bringing smiles as well as some strange looks, as she welcomed children into school dressed in an inflatable dinosaur outfit.
Teacher Tracey Tallentire, affectionately known as Mrs T, turned herself into a T Rex to the delight of children, parents and bemused passing cyclists to emulate a character from the book The Dinosaur that Pooped a Planet.
