Day to remember for Butterknowle pupils

BEST FEET FORWARD: Children perform a traditional country dance

CHILDREN and their parents enjoyed a jubilee celebration to remember at Butterknowle Primary School last week.

After preforming a traditional country dance for their families the children enjoyed a range of traditional games and refreshing treats from an ice-cream van.

An afternoon tea followed in the school hall.

Headteacher Clare Carr said the smaller children made their own crowns while the other children made their own bunting, which will also be used at the village hall when celebrations get under way there on Sunday, June 5.
