Councillors to look into the use of drones over Evenwood

A SUDDEN spurt in the use of drones over a Gaunless Valley village has parish councillors concerned.

Evenwood Parish Council chairwoman Cllr Barbara Nicholson raised the issue during the council’s meeting on Tuesday, March 13.

She said: “I have been asked the question, what are the legalities about people using drones? At the weekend Evenwood was inundated with drones.”

Councillors representing neighbouring Ramshaw said a drone spent more than an hour moving around their village.

Parish clerk Martin Clerk said he would look into the matter.
