Coffee morning adds £160 to Barnard Castle WI funds

TIME FOR TEA: Members of Barnard Castle WI ready to welcome visitors to the coffee morning which raised £160 for funds

BARNARD Castle WI held a successful coffee morning earlier this month at the Methodist church, raising £160 for WI funds.

Despite a wet and windy start to the morning there was a good flow of people coming in to buy homemade cakes and enjoy a drink of tea or coffee.

Many ladies expressed their interest in trying out the WI so it is hoped visitors will come along to the next meeting on Monday, March 25, 7pm at the Guide Hut when the Revd Alison Wallbank will tell us stories about the various stoles that are worn by the clergy.
