ORGANISERS of the village fayre at Ingleton were delighted with the number of visitors on Saturday, when the weather gods provided plenty of sunshine.
More than 60 classic cars from across the North East descended on the village’s showground for the fayre, many adorning their motors with flags and bunting to mark the Queen’s platinum jubilee.
A dog agility display and fun canine show, with categories for the smiliest face and waggiest tail, proved popular with many visitors bringing their four-legged friends along.
Members of Darlington Judo club put on an energetic demonstration prior to the children’s sports.
Visitors were spoilt for choice with refreshments available at the pavilion and afternoon teas in the village hall.
Judith Pressley from the fayre committee, said: “It” s just so lovely to be back again and to have sunshine for it.
“We’ve really missed having the fayre and it’s lovely to see so many people have come along.”
