Celebrate fun, fitness and creativity at The Hub, in Barnard Castle

WELLBEING FESTIVAL: The Watty Boys are lined up to perform and there will be plenty of fun sessions to focus on relaxation

A CELEBRATION weekend of fun, creativity and fitness for all is promised at the TCR Hub next month when they stage their popular Festival of Wellbeing.
It is the third year the community venue has organised the two-day event which combines music, dance, arts, crafts, holistic therapy, sensory spaces, green wellbeing, food and exercise.
This year the festival on Saturday and Sunday, June 17 and 18, will also feature a Wellbeing Village, made up of a selection of canvas tipis and tents, that will see relaxation sessions, crafts and creative activities take place.
Sarah Gent, family activities co-ordinator at the Hub, said: “We will be collaborating with the fabulous ladies from Bloom n Witches during the festival weekend.
“Abbie and Dani, who run Bloom n Witches, will be hosting our outdoor wellbeing village and it will be brimming with wellbeing goodies for ticket holders, including drop-in relaxation sessions, wellbeing crafts and creative activities.”
There will be live music from the Watty Boys, Monkey Punk and Qui Bee on the Singers’ Stage and visitors will be able to try out a range of mindful craft and art workshops as well as dance and fun exercise sessions.
Ms Gent added: “There is so much scheduled for the whole weekend, you can even camp on the field on Saturday night.
“It will be an amazing weekend, showcasing so much of what happens at the TCR Hub.
“A whole host of people are coming along to share their skills, experience and knowledge.”
Food will be available from the TCR Kitchen and Moments Cafe throughout the weekend.
There will be a market on Saturday, June 17, between 10am and 4.30pm with lots of stalls to browse through.
A weekend ticket costs £30 (plus a £1.44 booking fee) for adults and £15 (plus 72p booking fee) for children up to 16 years.
Children under four years are free. Day and evening tickets are also available as are family tickets. Camping is available at £5 per person (over 16 years) for Saturday evening.
