A BEAUTY business is beginning to blossom for a care worker from Middleton-in-Teesdale.
Two months since she took the plunge setting up her own business, Beauty in the Dale, Cherri Richardson says she is delighted with the response from customers.
She said: “It’s been going really well. I’ve had quite a few customers and my friends and family have been amazingly supportive.”
Based at Teesdale Physio in Market Place, Middleton-in-Teesdale, she offers a range of treatments including lash lifts and lash tints as well as everything to do with nails.
In addition to manicures, Ms Richardson offers gel polishes, acrylic infills and removals, but has seen a big demand for her nail art.
She added: “I do it all free hand. I’ve done loads of different designs from leopard prints to Christmas themes. I had a lovely mum and daughter come in and they wanted matching cherry designs as well.”
She keeps customers up to date with her latest designs sharing images on Instagram and her Facebook business page.
Ms Richardson completed her level three in nails in 2020 and is currently working towards a level two in beauty at Bishop Auckland College, and continues to work part time as a carer with Blossom Home Care.
She said: “My family and friends have been amazing and I wouldn’t have been able to do any of this without them.
“I should complete my level two in June next year and I will be adding to the treatments I offer and I love being able to help make people feel good about themselves.”
