Care at home will blossom, say Paul and Jo

CARING COUPLE: Paul and Jo Hamilton who are launching Blossom Home Care in Teesdale and Weardale

A NEW home care service covering the dale is about to be launched.
Paul and Jo Hamilton have taken on the Blossom Home Care franchise covering Teesdale and Weardale.
The venture will be based on Harmire Enterprise Park, in Barnard Castle.
Ms Hamilton works as a NHS community staff nurse and has 12 years’ experience and knowledge of co-ordinating and delivering care in the community as well as liaising with other healthcare professionals in a multi-disciplinary team.
She said she recognised the importance of patients staying in their own home where they feel safe and comfortable. She came across Blossom Home Care in her NHS role and met owners John and Fiona Leggott before decided to take on the franchise.
“Blossom Home Care Teesdale and Weardale will offer home care to the elderly as well as other adults with home care requirements” , said Ms Hamilton.
“We enable the people we care for to remain living in their own home with a holistic approach to care that ensures we fully meet their needs.
“A 50-minute minimum call also means our carers have time to interact with clients and do all the things that really matter to them and us.”
She said carers were committed to ensuring that client needs are at the centre of everything.
