YOUNG Aidan Marmont has now raised £2,200 for the NHS since lockdown started.
The 12-year-old, from Bowes, decided to grow plants from seed and sell them from his garden wall to villagers. He asked for donations and has been overwhelmed with the response.
As well as thanking the NHS, he wanted to show his appreciation to Teesdale’s paramedics and used some of the money to give hampers to staff at Barnard Castle’s ambulance station, in Wilson Road.
