THERE were some exceptional performances by A level students at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form, in Darlington.
Staff at the college said they were immensely proud of all students’ achievements.
Despite changes to the grading system, it hasn’t stopped two Teesdale students from each attaining three A* grades each.
Jack Parsons-Munn, from Barnard Castle, gained three A* grades in biology, chemistry and history.
The 18-year-old is currently considering his options for a career in medicine.
He said: “QE has a very friendly and supportive atmosphere.
“My two years of studying have been really fun and I would recommend the college to anyone.”
Caitlin Shaw, from Cleatlam, will study pharmacy at Newcastle University after gaining three A* grades in biology, chemistry and mathematics.
Labour leader Keir Starmer surprised pupils by dropping into the college during results day last week.
