Barrnon Media is a well-established, family-owned business and the proud publisher of The Teesdale Mercury, The Cumberland & Westmorland Herald, The Keswick Reminder, Cumbria Crack, and Business Crack.
We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our team at the Teesdale Mercury.
The role
You will be responsible for selling advertising campaigns across The Teesdale Mercury newspaper, magazine, and online platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Generate and manage advertising sales across a wide range of sectors
- Achieve sales targets
- Build strong relationships with existing customers and grow their advertising spend
- Win new business by contacting both new and lapsed clients via telephone and face-to-face meetings
- Identify and develop new commercial opportunities within the local marketplace, including new business openings, events, and seasonal promotions
Media experience is not essential, but a proven track record in sales is.
We’re looking for someone proactive, personable, and results-driven.
