CROWDS turned out to watch a parade of bright costumes and music in Cotherstone at the weekend.

Carnival queen Amy Hobson led the procession through the village on Saturday afternoon (June 16) with her attendants Kitty Goldsborough and Emily Blagdon. They were accompanied by live music from the Rhythm Train.

Other participants included woodland fairies, suffragettes, a caveman, princesses, a dragon and a T-Rex. The youngest taking part was 10-week-old Evie Tarn dressed as Minnie Mouse.
