Woodland hosts first show in 60 years

JUBILATION: Evie Bark and children Rupert and Florance took second spot in the best bitch section with Willow

WOODLAND hosted its first produce show in more than 60 years on Saturday.

More than £1,000 was raised during the event which featured entries in photography, baking, vegetables and eggs. There were also a host of entries in the dog show, which had to be moved from the village green to the village hall because of rain.

Pat Kingsnorth, of the village hall, said: “What a fabulous day, albeit the weather. The whole day went down so very well and the evening was a storm.
