Reasons to be cheerful at Wild Daisy

BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL: Debbie Herbert with one of the recent arrivals from Masai at Wild Daisy

BOLD, bright colours and new designer lines are giving customers at Wild Daisy more reasons to be cheerful since it reopened last month.
Owner Debbie Herbert, who took over the clothing boutique in Market Place, Barnard Castle, last year, is delighted to be welcoming customers through the door once again since restrictions eased. Before taking over the boutique, Mrs Herbert set up the weekly lunch club in Startforth and was a long-time member of the village’s parish council. She said: “We’re happy to be open again and it’s lovely to welcome all our customers back.
“We did do a bit of click and collect during lockdown, but this is far better. There is just something about being able to see and feel the fabric of what you’re interested in before you buy it and I know a lot of my customers feel the same.
“I think some people are still a bit reluctant to come out, but I want to reassure them we are operating a fully-Covid secure system and have some wonderful new summer ranges in stock.”
Customer Gill Harbord was thrilled to be able to browse the boutique in person again and felt uplifted to be back in store. She said: “I’m thoroughly cheered up by the whole experience and to have a lovely assistant on hand is a great help.”
And there are even more stock lines available with the addition of White Stuff, Mistral, Lily and Me as well as Luca Vanucci. Complementing the clothing is a comprehensive range of accessories from necklaces, bracelets through to handbags, as well as a new line of greeting cards by Katie Loxton.
Mrs Herbert added: “While supplies were disrupted due to Covid-19 and Brexit, we are now able to offer all our summer ranges including our new brands.
“White Stuff, Mistral, Lily and Me and Luca Vanucci have arrived in store as well as our existing brands Seasalt, Masai, Adini, Nomads, Rino and Pelle and Robell and Katie Loxton and Envy.”
“We are happy to price match any promotion advertised at the time of sale on the official website of our brands subject to stock availability. So best prices, no delivery costs and try before you buy.”
