New Lidl store opening earlier than expected

NEW STORE: Barnard Castle Lidl store manager Brendan Doherty and area manager Scott Reid during a jobs fair last year

BARNARD Castle’s new Lidl store is to open slightly earlier than previously announced.

The new store opening is on Thursday April 14.

The store is expected to create about 40 new jobs in the town.

Lidl GB’s Regional Head of Property, David Murphy, commented: “It is fantastic that we are able to open our doors and welcome everyone into our new store in Barnard Castle. We have received overwhelming support from local residents, and we would like to thank everyone who has played a part in delivering this new store. We now look forward to serving our multi-award winning products to the local community.”
