Barnard Castle move ‘makes perfect sense’

PERFECT MOVE: Samantha Tulloch

SEVEN years after founding financial advice firm, a Newcastle-based businesswoman has branched out to open an office in Barnard Castle.

With more than 28 years’ experience working in some of the world’s biggest financial institutions, Samantha Tulloch forged her own path in financial services.

She formed her own practice, Tulloch Wealth Management in 2017, offering bespoke financial advice to clients.

Last week, during an official grand opening, she cut the ribbon on her new office branch at Harmire Enterprise Park.

Ms Tulloch said: “I have been working with clients in Teesdale for 20 years. The service we office is very personal.

“We are a traditional firm that offers face-to-face services and rather than ask our clients to travel to us I spent a lot of time driving up and down from Newcastle for appointments and it made sense to open offices here.”

The expansion has also seen Ms Tulloch bring in a new financial advisor, Ailish Wright, with plans for more in the coming months.

She added: “We work with a lot of people in the dale, many who work at GSK as well as a lot of business owners.”

As well as helping clients plan for early retirement, the company provides tax and investment planning.

She added: “We work with clients from their 30s and 40s right the way through their retirement, offering a personal, bespoke service so they can plan for their retirement with the knowledge the wealth they have accrued through life will look after them.

“Financial planning is a can-do business and I want to empower advisors to realise their potential.

“The journey starts now, and I am excited to set out with the team at Barnard Castle.”
