Working artists’ showcase their efforts

ART SHOW: Getting ready for their exhibition

A MONTH-long exhibition by local artists has started at The Witham’s gallery.

The collaborative exhibition, titled Working Artists, includes a range of media from pointillism, watercolour and linocut prints to acrylic, pen and ink and photography.

The work is exhibited by people who have day jobs

but produce art in their free time.

The group has members who include graphic artists, an architect, cafe worker, music promoter, and public relations manager.

Tim Baitson, a graphic artist and printer by day and oil painter by night, said: “It just shows that we can work and then have this as a pastime.

“We’re a group of artists that work for a living but can still produce quality artwork.”

The Working Artists exhibition runs until Friday, February, 1.
