Tribute nights are back for 2020 at The WItham

TRIBUTE: Bootleg Blondie rounded off a successful year for tribute acts at The Witham

THEY’RE almost as good as the real thing and proved such a success they’re back for 2020.
Tribute bands formed part of The Witham’s programme of events for the first time last year as officials looked to widen the appeal of the arts centre.
Hundreds of music fans flocked to see the likes of David Bowie act Jean Genie, The Jersey Boys, Queen of Rock, Beatlemania and Bootleg Blondie.
Marketing officer Sarah Gent said: “We received excellent feedback – people appreciate being able to access this calibre of live music here.”
Tribute events for 2020 kick off with Abba Sensation on Friday, February 21, and advance tickets sales suggest this is going to be a popular night.
In April, Frank, a tribute to Sinatra, complete with live band, will come to town and in June, Jam tribute A Band Called Malice will play all the classics.
