Time to step out for return of dance club

DANCING THE NIGHT AWAY: Klara Whiley

IT’S time to put on your glad rags and dancing shoes once again.
Members of the Butterknowle Dance Club, based at Butterknowle Village Hall, were delighted to return to their weekly Monday night sessions after an absence of 18 months due to Covid restrictions.
The dance club enjoyed the added bonus of a donation of £300 from the village hall Association.
Village hall secretary Klara Whiley successfully applied for the cash from the Persimmon Community Champions fund.
Ms Whiley and village hall booking secretary Heather Dunn handed over the cheque to dance club members Ann Galvin and Andrew Hooper at the first get-together since lockdown.
Ms Whiley said that it was an absolute pleasure to support the dance club.
The club has welcomed dancers to Butterknowle Village Hall for more than 20 years.
The dance club meets at Butterknowle Village Hall every Monday evening from 7pm to 9.30pm.
New members are always welcome to just turn up. Alternatively, contact 01325 314269 for further information.
