The show WILL go on for Club Cotherstone as singer-songwriter Jess Morgan is lined up as headliner

STEPPING IN: Jess Morgan will join Jack harris on the bill at Club Cotherstone's first gig of 2018

IT’S a case of all’s well that ends well for organisers of Club Cotherstone’s first gig of 2018.

After what he described as a “whirlwind of a week” , promoter Colin Robinson has confirmed the line up for Saturday, March 24, as singer-songwriters Jess Morgan and Jack Harris.

Initially, Paul Mosley, a regular visitor to Cotherstone, had been booked as headline solo set. Unfortunately, he had to pull out due to unavoidable personal reasons.

Roots music singer-songwriter Luke Jackson was then lined up as a replacement to co-headline the event with Jack Harris, but a mix-up over dates, meant Mr Jackson couldn’t come.

Finally, Mr Robinson was able to confirm Ms Morgan would join Mr Harris for the evening.

Mr Robinson thanked those planning to along to the show for their forbearance.

“We are a unique venue in that our audience trust us to only book the best and often arrive barely knowing the headliners in advance,” he said.

“Paul Mosley has been forced to cancel his spring tour and we support him in what is a difficult time.

“They guy who helped us source a replacement had the dates wrong, but the good news is we now have a 100 per cent confirmed replacement – Jess Morgan – who just happens to be someone we tried to book a couple of years ago, so it kind of worked out well in the end.”

Tickets for the show, at Cotherstone Village Hall, are £8 in advance or £10 on the door if any are left. They are available from, Claire on 01833 650914 or online at wegottickets.com.

Those going along can take their own drinks and nibbles. Doors open at 7.30pm with the show starting at 8pm.
