Sell-out in record time for Jason’s Barney visit

BIG DRAW: Jason Manford's two Barney shows have sold out in record time

TICKETS for comedian Jason Manford’s two shows in Barnard Castle sold out in less than a minute when they went on sale last week.

The mercurial Mancunian will be trying out new material at his “work in progress” shows at The Witham on September 16 and 17.

Promoter Peter Dixon, of Funny Way To Be Comedy, said: “Jason Manford is an extremely hard worker and is one of those entertainers who successfully works as a contemporary stand-up and an old-school mainstream entertainer.

“The demand for tickets for our two shows with him was in excess of anything we’d seen before and both our presales for our newsletter subscribers and general sales sold out within a minute.

“Anyone interested in return tickets should subscribe to our newsletter, the details of which are on our web site www.funnywaytobe.com.”

The demand for tickets means anyone wishing to see him must now wait until next year when he brings his finished show to Darlington Hippodrome on Saturday, July 31, 2021.

The Like Me tour will see the funnyman play a 99 date UK & Ireland tour, kicking off in Basingstoke in February 2021 and culminating with a huge homecoming show at the Manchester Arena in October.

Jason’s work spans comedy, acting, singing and presenting and includes a host of top TV credits including the recent ITV hit series The Masked Singer; 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4) and Sunday Night at the Palladium.

BBC credits include Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You and QI.
