Music festival with 16 acts in aid of TCR Hub

The TCR Hub

SIXTEEN acts are giving up their time for free to stage a one-day music festival to raise cash for The TCR Hub in Barnard Castle.
The Hub’s summer gig will be held on Saturday, August 5, from noon to 11pm.
Promoter Dave Palmer said: “We have got a fantastic line up. All musicians and bands have agreed to perform free of charge. Many of the musicians involved have a personal attachment to The Hub either as a place where they learned and honed their musical talent or have used it as a rehearsal space. I was quite amazed at the willingness and enthusiasm of everyone to give their time and talent in order to raise funds for this excellent resource.”
Mr Palmer has worked with staff at The Hub, putting on half day music events in the past with one stage.
He said: “We were just getting a feel for it.”
This year it has been extended to a full day with two stages – acoustic and main.
The provisional schedule for the main stage is as follows: 1pm to 2.30pm, to be arranged; 3pm to 3.30pm, Blue Scarrow; 4pm to 4.30pm, Oui Bee, Sam; 5.30pm to 6pm; The Blue Hummingbirds, Jimmy Nellis; 7pm to 8pm, Catalina Rock Club, Dave Kidd; 8.30pm to 9.30pm, About the Humans, Sam Nix. 10pm to 11pm, The Revamps, Elsbury & Keith Magnall. “‚”‚
Mr Palmer said: “The TCR Hub is a unique facility in Teesdale whose staff work hard and diligently. They aim to engage with people from all age groups in the area providing creative activities and community support, so let’s show our support for The Hub by going along to this excellent musical fundraiser.” “‚”‚
Ticket costs £10 for adult and £5 for five to 15-year-olds. They are available from www.tcrhub.co.uk. Food and drinks will be available.
