Merry band of villagers set for family panto fun

IN REHEARSAL: Some of the younger cast of Teesdale Players with panto director Stephen Lamb and

Rehearsals are ongoing for this year’s Teesdale Players’ family pantomime.

A colourful production of Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood takes to the stage at Cotherstone Village Hall at 7.30pm on December 7, 8 and 9, with a 2pm Saturday matinee.

“This year, our biggest ever cast will feature several new faces to the village hall stage, and of course many of the firm favourites will be doing their utmost to get at least some of their lines in roughly the right order,” said Wayne Mann of the Teesdale Players.

“Look out for this memorable line: ‘A plump plucked pheasant from a peasant is indeed a perfectly pleasing and pleasant present to have presented’. We are all wishing the cast member who says it good luck with that one. They may need some audience help.”

Early booking is advised as the evening shows always sell out. Call 01833 650302 or email waynekmann@hotmail .com or via Facebook message. Tickets cost £7 for adults and £3 for U16s. Cash payment only on entry to the hall.

All profits from ticket sales go to benefit local good causes and charities.

Once again the Teesdale Cancer Research group will provide interval refreshments and a raffle at the evening productions.
