Get ready to split your sides as Funny Way To Be Comedy, the promoters based in Teesdale and operating from The Witham, unveils an uproarious lineup of 13 comedy acts.

Expect a riotous journey in the next few weeks, filled with top-notch performances by acclaimed TV and radio stars, catering to audiences of all ages and comedic tastes.

Promoter Peter Dixon enthusiastically revealed the diverse array of performances. He said: “Our spring and summer schedule promises a good time for everyone.

“We’ve curated a delightful mix of seasoned comedians and rising stars, ensuring there’s something for everyone in our audience.

“Plus, don’t miss our special ‘work in progress’ evenings, where 11 top comedians will showcase their brand-new material, priming themselves for the Edinburgh Festival,” he added.

The first three shows featuring Paul Sinha, Russell Kane, and Robin Ince are already sold out, with only a few return tickets left up for grabs.

The laughter continues with Tom Houghton, the multi-viral sensation from Netflix’s ‘The Circle’, gracing the stage on May 11 with his uproarious tour, It’s Not Ideal, Yet.

Tom’s return follows a sold-out show in Barnard Castle in 2023, and promises to be an evening filled with infectious humour.

In a unique twist, on May 24, Carl Hutchinson presents a special screening of his documentary film, That’s The Show, offering an intimate glimpse into the life of a stand-up comedian, followed by a lively Q&A session with the panel, including Carl Hutchinson himself.

Audiences can’t get enough of Alfie Moore, whose return on June 13 with A Face For Radio promises an unforgettable evening of comedic storytelling.

Mark Watson also joins the fray on June 15 with his tour show, Search, blending humour with reflections on the quest for meaning in the digital age. Prepare to be spellbound on June 22 as Pete Firman, the UK’s premier comedy magician, dazzles audiences with his mesmerizing show, Trik Tok, suitable for 11 years and older.

Edinburgh preview season kicks off on July 3 with Tom Stade and Gareth Mutch, offering a sneak peek into their Edinburgh Festival performances.

Richard Herring’s much-anticipated return to stand-up on July 5 with Can I Have My Ball Back? promises a night of laughter.

July 20 brings a unique opportunity to catch three Scotland-based acts: Craig Hill, Connor Burns and Kai Humphries, in the MZA Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Sneak Peek, while July 23 sees Steve Bugeja and Chris Cantrill delighting audiences with their fresh material.

The summer season culminates in the highly anticipated Edinburgh Preview Day on July 27, featuring four full shows, ensuring an evening packed with laughter and entertainment.

On the bill are Lauren Pattison, Justin Moorhouse, Alun Cochrane and Andrew White. But the fun doesn’t end there.

Looking forward to the autumn, there are shows featuring Gavin Webster, Clinton Baptiste, Ed Byrne, Dom Joly, and Count Arthur Strong, with tickets already on sale.

Mr Dixon urged comedy enthusiasts not to miss out on the laughter, with tickets on sale from funnywaytobe.com.

Stay tuned to the Funny Way To Be Comedy newsletter for exclusive ticket pre-sales, special offers, and updates on ticket availability.
