Live comedy returns to The Witham this weekend

TOP ACT: Scottish star Daniel Sloss

A RISING star of comedy is appearing at The Witham in November with social distance regulations planned to make the performance possible.
Daniel Sloss will bring his show, Hubris, to the venue on Sunday, November 27.
Peter Dixon, of Funny Way To Be Comedy, said: “We are pleased to be able to announce this show with one of the world’s rising star comedians presenting his brand new show. We have worked very closely with The Witham to be able to produce the show in these difficult times. We are very much looking forward to bringing some laughter back to Barnard Castle.”
Seating will be socially distant and because of local coronavirus rules tickets may only be bought in household bubble groups.
“Tickets numbers for this show are therefore restricted and bound to be in hot demand,” Mr Dixon said.
The Scottish star’s previous show, ‘X’, sold out across 40 countries, with 300 performances, even packing a Moscow arena and becoming Russia’s biggest-ever English language comedy show.
The film of ‘X’ is showing on HBO in the US and Canada and became the first UK comedy special to make its UK premiere in cinemas, with its nationwide release at Vue.
Sloss’ previous two Netflix specials, Dark and Jigsaw, are streaming in 190 countries, 26 languages. The Witham show is on at 6pm and costs £16.50 for over-16 only.
