It’s time to party at Mickleton Live with the Urban Voodoo Machine

REAL GOOD TIME: The Urban Voodoo Machine will be back for a fifth time at Mickleton Live

MICKLETON Live will celebrate Christmas with what has become something of a tradition – a visit from Urban Voodoo Machine.

This year will be the fifth time the group has been back to headline the festive live music get-together at Mickleton Village Hall. It takes place on Saturday, December 15.

The nine-strong band describe their style as “bourbon soaked gyspy blues bop and stroll” which they have taken to audiences far and wide since forming in 2002 along with recording four studio albums.

Mickleton Live organiser sue Brown said it was she was looking forward to welcoming the group back again.

“We keep them coming back because they give us such a good night.

“It’s a really good experience for everybody and it sets us up for Christmas.”

She added: “The band love it up here and this is their Christmas party as well.”

The show brings down the curtain on another busy year for Mickleton Live, which has seen acts ranging from Albert Lee to Limehouse Lizzy take to the stage.

Tickets for the Urban Voodoo Machine show are £25 in advance or £27 for any left on the night. They are available online at www.mick letonlive.uk or alternatively from Ms Brown on 01833 640854. For more on Urban Voodoo Machine go to theurban voodoomachine.com.
