It’s panto time for Players… oh yes it is

UP AND AWAY: The cast of Mother Goose are hoping for a soar-away success with this year's panto

REHEARSALS are well underway for a dale theatre group’s annual autumn show, which this year will be a musical version of the family favourite panto Mother Goose.

For the past few months Cotherstone-based Teesdale Players have been preparing for this year’s production, which will be performed at the village hall over three nights in November.

The Players’ Wayne Mann said: “The show will introduce several new members, welcome some old friends back into leading roles and, of course, all the popular favourite characters will be on stage.

“Anna Conley will be making her directorial debut after several years being a cast member.”

He added: “Mother Goose is a classic traditional pantomime and will appeal to all ages.

“There is plenty of colour, laughs, singing, dancing and audience participation.”

The players are putting on four performances this year starting on Thursday, November 7, running until Saturday 9. There are three evening performances at 7.30pm plus a matinee on the Saturday at 2pm.

Tickets are £6 for adults and £4 for U16s.

To book call 01833 650302 or email Mr Mann at waynek [email protected].

Alternatively contact Mr Mann via Facebook.

As with previous years, all profits will go to local charities.
