Introducing the surreal world according to Lou

RISING STAR: Lou Sanders is bringing her latest tour to Barnard Castle

COMEDY rising star Lou Sanders is heading to Barnard Castle as part of a UK tour.

The acclaimed stand-up will perform at The Witham on Friday, March 6, taking to the stage at 8pm.

After achieving rave reviews for her previous show Shame Pig, adding extra shows to her run at Edinburgh and London’s Soho Theatre, she’s back with Say Hello to Your New Step-Mummy (14+).

She said: “It’s about me. I’ll examine relationships, mental health and perverts

“I’ll be oversharing, wanging on about spirituality and giving everyone some much unwanted advice.”

Lou has been seen and heard on a rapidly growing list of TV and radio shows, including QI, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Travel Man, Hypothetical, The Russell Howard Hour, The Unbelievable Truth and Ultimate Worrier. She was a huge success on the 2019 series of Taskmaster and won the competition.

She has performed internationally including performances on Comedy Up Late from the Melbourne Comedy Festival and the New Zealand Comedy Gala 2017.

She has also supported Katherine Ryan on her latest West End run at the Garrick Theatre, as well as at the recording of her Netflix special at the Hammersmith Apollo.

Promoter Peter Dixon, of Funny Way To Be Comedy, said: “I’d say Lou Sanders is one of the most original comedians in Britain today.

“Her surrealist style and high-octane stage presence make her a joy to watch.

“I’ve seen Lou several times at the Edinburgh Festival and the crowds there love her. This show is her best so far and is winning her fans and critical acclaim.”

Tickets are £13 available from The Witham box office or www.funnywaytobe.com.
