Hub’s fun bus is back on the road

ALL SMILES: Rupert Philbrick and Sarah Gent join in the fun at Dawson Road play area

THE TCR Hub fun bus is back on the road – and could be coming to a place near you this summer.
The bus parked up at Dawson Road play area in Barnard Castle for the first of its food and fun events.
Cook Rupert Philbrick knocked out some Mexican flavoured pancakes, while family activities co-ordinator Sarah Gent led activities including badge making, stone painting, stories, bubbler and fancy dress.
The fun bus was launched last year after cash was received from the Community Lottery Fund.
Ms Gent said: “The idea is to do it every couple of months or so. We launched it in August last year and the bus was out again in October and December.”
Food and fun will be on the menu at Dawson Road play area again on Saturday, April 16, but Ms Gent said: “It would be nice to grow it. It’s nice to do things out and about.”
She added: “We have been asked to go to Cockfield and Stainton Grove. Do let us know if there is somewhere you’d like us to visit and we will see what we can do.”
To contact Ms Gent and request a TCR Fun Bus visit, email [email protected] or call 01833 690150.
