Glass workshop to return after success

WORKSHOP: Sue Woodhouse in action last month

A GLASS-FUSING workshop presented by a new art centre was so popular that another is planned for this month.

Gainford Art Centre was opened at the former Post Office on Main Road during August and among its first courses was one presented by Newcastle-based glass artist Sue Woodhouse.

She is due to return to the venue this Saturday, October 16.

Andy Snelgrove, of the centre, said: “The cost is £35, and participants will be guided to produce a 15cm square glass dish, and time permitting, a 10cm square glass coaster. All materials and tools are provided.”

Spaces are limited to six people and anyone interested in joining can email gainford
