Comedy duo unveil new shows to dale fans

Jade Adams.

A NEW season of comedy kicks off in Barnard Castle later this month with this visit of Jayde Adams and Rich Wilson.

Both have been lined up by the dale’s Funny Way To Be Comedy club to perform one hour work-in-progress shows, road testing material in preparation for this summer’s Edinburgh Festival.

In Barnard Castle, Jayde Adams, who was nominated for best newcomer at the 2016 Edinburgh Festival Awards, will road test her brand new show, The Ballad Of Kylie Jenner’s Old Face.

Rich Wilson’s new show – Rich Wilson’s Death Becomes Him – is based on the idea that award-winning comedian Rich Wilson has died at the age of 47.

Promoter Peter Dixon said: “Jayde Adams is one of the most promising rising stars performing in the UK at the moment.

“As well as appearing on a number of TV shows, her work is pushing the boundaries of popular comedy entertainment.

“We are thrilled that she has agreed to come to Barnard Castle as the only northern date on her small tour of work in progress shows.

“Her partner, Rich Wilson, is an outstanding comic and having them both together in Barnard Castle is a fantastic way to kick off our preview summer season.”

The show takes place at The Witham, Barnard Castle, on Friday, April 26, at 8pm, and is suitable for anyone aged 16-plus.

Tickets are £12, available from the Witham Box Office or www.funnywaytobe.com.
