Comedian Lou aims to wow dale audience

SPARKLING COMPANY: Lou Sanders is heading to Barnard Castle with her new show

THE comedy keeps coming thick and fast with Lou Sanders, one of Britain’s most original funnywomen, making a welcome return to The Witham, Barnard Castle, on Friday, May 13, with her new tour show, One Word: Wow.

A familiar face from a host of TV appearances both in the UK and abroad, she was also the champion of series eight of the popular Taskmaster show.

Her last critically acclaimed tour show, Say Hello To Your New Step-Mummy, was her biggest to date. As well as Barnard Castle, she took the show to Los Angeles and New York.

Promoter Peter Dixon, of Funny Way To Be Comedy, said: “Lou Sanders’ last visit was the last show we presented before the initial lockdown in March 2020.

“We are thrilled she’s returning to us as that show was a massive success and sold out.”

He added: “Lou’s surrealist style and high-octane stage presence make her a joy to watch.

“Her career is certainly on the rise and it’s not going to be long before she’s playing much larger venues than our more intimate space in Barnard Castle.”

Tickets for the show, priced £16, are available now from funnywaytobe.com or The Witham box office on 01833 631107. The show is suitable for ages 14-plus.
