Artist Holly opens up for visitors to studio

WELCOME: Artist Holly Scott at work in her studio

ARTIST and printmaker Holly Scott is throwing open the doors of her studio at Unit 4, in the Aspire building at Middleton-in-Teesdale mart on Sunday, December 18, between 10am and 4pm as part of a pre-Christmas event to see how her magic is made.
The award-winning artist has just been selected from 600 applicants to show at the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art in Wales.
She said: “I’m really thrilled to have been selected as one of 200 artists from all over the country to exhibit.”
At her open day, there will be mince pies and a chance to look at her back catalogue of artwork.
“My hand-coloured linocut Call of the Dales celebrates one of my favourite sights – the evocative call and aerial acrobatics of lapwings,” she said.
“I’ve been exhibiting all over lately, as far as Torquay, but it’s always nice to do an event nearer to home to keep up with locals who have supported my business from the start.”
