Thrills and spills as Gainford hosts fun day

ORGANISERS of Gainford’s annual fun day pulled out all the stops on Saturday for what will be their final event.

Organisers Geoff and Sue Taylor announced their retirement from the event earlier last month.

With it being a jubilee year the fancy dress took on a royal them with creative children dressing up as crowns, Royal Mail post boxes and knights.

The crowd enjoyed browsing at a variety of stalls and taking part in traditional games such as hook a duck.

Live music and a demonstraion by Walworth Birds of Prey Display entertained the crowds.
