The Teesdale Mercury has been the voice of the dale since 1854.

We are weekly paper based in Barnard Castle, County Durham, printed overnight on a Monday. In February 2015, the paper switched from a black and white broadsheet to a full colour tabloid size – but the mission remains the same, to bring you the most extensive coverage of Teesdale we possibly can. The newspaper is independent of political parties, private interests and government.

The Teesdale Mercury is published by Teesdale Mercury Ltd at 24 Market Place, Barnard Castle, County Durham, DL12 8NB. Registered at the Post Office as a newspaper, the cover price is £1.30.
