All the fun of the fair comes to Romaldkirk

FUN FAIR: The Rumold Morris side will perform at Romaldkirk Fair on Saturday

PREPARATIONS are in place for this year’s Romaldkirk Fair, which takes place on Saturday, August 17.

The popular family event kicks of at 1pm.

There will be the annual fancy dress parade, the Rumold Morris side will give demonstrations throughout the afternoon, a Punch & Judy show will serve up the laughs and the Middleton and Teesdale Silver Band will perform.

Dog lovers are asked to bring their pooches along for a fun show.

Alongside the usual stalls, this year two charities will also be along.

The Teesdale branch of Cancer Research UK and Mind will be raising money during the fair.

The Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team will also be represented.

There will be children’s games and races and a little bit of stress therapy on the Sashing China stall.

Cream teas will be served in the Reading Room and organisers say events will go ahead whatever the weather on the day.
