Staindrop Young Farmers raise £1,500 for Great North Air Ambulance Service

FLYING HIGH: Members of Staindrop Young Farmers' Club present a cheque for more than £1

YOUNG farmers’ fundraising efforts during the last year resulted in a cheque for £1,574.72 being presented to the Great North Air Ambulance Service

Members of Staindrop YFC took part in events such as carol singing, a muck chuck, raffles at social events and a coffee morning.

Secretary Alice Wood said: “I would like to thank all club members, past and present, who have helped out in any way to help raise such a fabulous amount of money for our chosen charity this year.

“Also, a huge thank you to the community who supported our events. Without your support we wouldn’t have been able to raise what we have.”

Staindrop YFC is now raising money for Teesdale Cancer Trust and mountain rescue charities.

Staindrop YFC meets every Monday night at Winston Village Hall at 7.30pm.
