Travel agents impressed by response to Easter egg appeal

Vicki Black and Kim Race from Kyle Travel have been overwhelmed by the response to their Easter egg appeal

A DALE travel agency has been overwhelmed by the public response to its Easter appeal.

Kyle Travel, in Barnard Castle, launched an appeal in aid of the Smile for a Child charity last week and within days had been inundated with Easter eggs.

The eggs will bring some chocolate cheer to disabled children and their families, who are supported by Teesdale-based Smile for a Child charity.

Carol Hunter, from Kyle Travel, said: “We just thought it would be nice to give back because we get so much support from people in Teesdale.

“We only started this week and by last night we had 30 Easter eggs.

“The response has been fantastic.

“We want to thank everyone because we have been overwhelmed by it really.”

People who want to support the cause can take their Easter eggs to the travel agents at 18 Galgate before noon on Thursday when Chris Reed, from Smile for a Child, will be along to collect the donations.

For more information contact Kyle Travel on 01833 690303.
