CHILDREN got into the spooky spirit at Barnard Castle library last week, creating some spooky looking Halloween bell jars.
As part of activities organised by the library for the half term holiday, children were invited to turn everyday items into spooky bell jars, which could have come straight out of Dr Frankenstein’s laboratory.
They carefully turned empty plastic bottles into imaginative bell jars complete with woollen, pom-pom spiders and scary “goggly” eyes.
Mums and grandmothers also tried their hands at making them.
