A SERIES of art and craft sessions for children have been arranged for the school summer holidays.
Experimental artist Jane Young and textile guru Ann Gill have teamed up to provide five sessions starting on Thursday, July 25. The sessions, which will take place at Boldron Village Hall, are aimed at youngsters aged five years and over.
The artistic duo, who are both members of Teesdale ArtNet, are hoping to demonstrate different crafts, inspiring youngsters to get creative.
Ms Young, from Whorlton, said: “We’ll be showing a range of different techniques and mediums from painting through to fabric colouring with some flower bashing.
“Hopefully we will be able to give a positive experience and there will be a range of making stations to cover a range of artistic areas.”
The two hours sessions cost £11 per session and places are limited so booking is advised.
Ms Young said: “There are five sessions and we will be doing a variety of activities covering a huge range of art forms. We’re hoping that as we will be able to spend a lot of time with everyone we can really help people get enthusiastic about trying different art forms and not be afraid to give things a try.”
All materials and refreshments are provided and anyone wishing to book should contact 07809 249166 or email janeyoungart@me.com
