BOTH the A and B teams had a home draw against Richmond’s A and B in this knockout competition where all shots count.
The A team had to dig deep to come back from what looked like a losing position – none more so than the rink of Graham Moore, Tony Barkshire and Dennis Richards who looked dead and buried but bounced back to take top rink honours with a 22-14 win ensuring the team progressed to the next round winning 59-56.
The B team had a much more comfortable afternoon, winning all three rinks and taking the game 80-41.
Top rink consisted of Bill Carter, Neil Bailey and Frank Ashmore who won 32-18.
In the next round both teams are home again, this time playing Darlington Woodland A and B.
