Here’s hoping for a magic night with Pete

MAGIC IN THE AIR: Pete Firman is due at The Witham on April 18

THERE’LL be magic in the air with a comedy show scheduled for April – Covid restrictions permitting.
Pete Firman is due to bring his Back of Tricks show to The Witham, Barnard Castle, for a social distanced performance.
He is due on Stage on Sunday, April 18.
Pete Firman is well known for seamlessly blending state of the art magic with stand-up comedy.
He’s been a familiar face on television shows such as ITV1’s Tonight at the London Palladium and The Next Great Magician, BBC1’s The Magicians, The John Bishop Show and The Sarah Millican Television Programme.
His appearance at The Witham comes courtesy of Funny Way To Be Comedy, and promoter Peter Dixon said: “There is now an opportunity to experience his trademark blend of laugh-out-loud comedy and jaw-dropping magic live on stage.
“Over the last year we have continued to work to make sure shows have been postponed rather than cancelled, as well as booking exciting new shows when the opportunity arises.
“We’ve been working towards being able to present live shows in a safe manner as soon as it’s possible to do so. Pete Firman has worked out a special show that doesn’t require close audience interaction, so no one need worry about being dragged up onto the stage.
“We are delighted that he’s agreed to join us in Barnard Castle.”
Tickets for the Pete Firman show, in a socially distanced layout, are available from funnywaytobe.com priced £15.50 plus booking fee. The show starts at 7.30pm.
Meanwhile, looking ahead to 2022, Funny Way To Be Comedy has lined up a return visit to Barnard Castle for Alistair McGowan.
He will bring The Piano Show – a mix of comedy and classical music – to Barnard Castle in April 2022. For details, go to funnwaytobe. com.
